Wany was always an adventure seeker at heart since a very young age. She could hardly be contained in the rigid square spaces of the apartment and would often seek the thrill of climbing window grills, gates and even racing against buses knowing that she might lose.
Her natural athletic inclination has led her to compete and winning multiple medals in her track & field school events. She attributes her passion for sports to NBA heroes such as Michael Jordan but was unavailable to follow her dreams because her school team doesn’t offer basketball for girls. Undeterred, she picked up netball as an alternative and blazed the netball courts with her frightening pace.
Never settled to be second best, Wany is already working on her personal goals and would like to eclipse her current half marathon under two hours. In a nutshell, she wants to be Singapore’s Lara Croft or Wonder Woman.
She uses her heroine strength to help the people around her. She has developed a deep understanding of the human anatomy and specialises in treating scoliosis, back pains/spinal rehab. Wany is also the Nike Master Trainer for SEA + India.
Who is your biggest inspiration -
I look up to many people all at once but at the moment, I truly resonate with Betina Gozo with everything that she is and what she does.
